Sports

Sport

School sport involves students from Years 4 - 6 and is held on Friday afternoons.  Inter-school sport is held twice a year in ten week blocks.  Sport offered includes softball, tee ball,  netball, touch football, volleyball, rugby league, and soccer.  Preference is given to students in Years 5 -6 to play in inter-school teams.  Students not playing inter-school sports will be involved in supervised games at school.  Students travelling to sporting venues are required to pay for bus fees.

Swimming


Swimming is part of the standard physical education curriculum in Terms 1 and 4 with one swimming lessons each week with the Physical Education Teacher and a swimming coach.   Students will be excluded only if a doctor's certificate is presented or through a parent interview with the Principal.  Bathing caps can be purchased at the uniform shop.  Download Term 1 Swimming Permission Note Home.

The Swim Club (Marshall Road Marlins) also offers additional after-school learn to swim, stroke correction classes and squad training from Monday to Friday during the swimming season.

Tennis

Tennis coaching is available by a private coach Monday to Friday.  For coaching information, contact Mrs Lexie Crooke on (07) 3411 7575 / 0418 791 005.

The school tennis court is also available for hire outside of school hours by contacting Mrs Alison Kemp on (07) 3422 8222.
